Elasmosaurus was a large marine reptile that lived many years ago during the Late Cretaceous period. It was a type of plesiosaur with an extremely long neck, a small head, a broad body, and four paddle-like flippers. It grew to around 10–14 metres long, with its neck making up much of its length. Elasmosaurus likely hunted fish and other small marine animals in ancient seas.
